Borovinka Apple is a historic fruit cultivar documented by the U.S. Department of Agriculture between 1886 and 1942. 3 watercolour studies of it survive in the collection, with specimens recorded from Iowa, Floyd, Charles City; Minnesota, Hennepin, Wayzata, painted by Prestele, William Henry, Schutt, Ellen Isham. The paintings served as official botanical identification records before colour photography.
