Black Gilliflower Apple
Black Gilliflower, also called Sheepnose, is an old American apple recognised by its distinctive elongated, ribbed, conical shape and dull dark-red skin. Its flesh is mild, sweet and rather dry, and it was grown chiefly as a fresh-eating curiosity from New England southward.
