Wickson Plum

Historical USDA watercolour of the Wickson Plum plum, painted 1840–1873

The Wickson is a plum bred by Luther Burbank about 1895. Large and heart-shaped, ripening from amber to deep crimson, it has firm, translucent, very sweet flesh and was prized as a showy, high-flavoured dessert plum.
