Burbank Plum
The Burbank plum was introduced in the 1880s by the famed plant breeder Luther Burbank. Large and cherry-red over a yellow ground, with firm, sweet, juicy amber flesh, it was among the Japanese-type plums Burbank popularised that transformed American plum growing.
