Anjou Pear
The Anjou (Beurré d'Anjou) is a European pear of the 1800s, egg-shaped and green — sometimes red — with a short neck. Its firm, mild, sweet flesh and excellent keeping quality made it one of the most widely grown winter dessert pears.
